May 16th. Thursday In Person Meeting Come join us for an in person meeting to discuss the upcoming field trip to Tonopah Nevada. We will present information on what to wear; what to bring; and what to expect. We will talk about the two mines; hotel options; and the cost. Options to car pool as well. Even if you are not planning on going on the trip, it should be an excellent informational talk on mining and rock collecting in general for when you do go. Refreshments provided; door prizes. Field Trip Tonopah Nevada May 25th- May 28th Plan: Saturday is a drive day. Weather permitting (Tioga Pass opened) we will take the route through Yosemite. Stay that night at a hotel. May 26th., Sunday, Broken Arrow variscite mine. Charge is $125 per person to collect. Meet for dinner. May 27th. Monday, Royal Blue and Tiffany turquoise mines. 8am- 1pm 1/2 day is $100.
